Why are the paper cups at the airport drinking water conical?

People who often fly should find that the paper cups at the drinking water place at the airport are all cone-shaped. In fact, this design has its own intention.

This conical design of the water cup will make the water cup unable to stand because of the water, so passengers will directly throw the paper cup into the trash can after drinking the water, so as to reduce the phenomenon of paper cups being thrown around.

The water capacity of the conical water cup is 1/3 of that of the round paper cup, which is more convenient for passengers to drink the water at one time. Even if there is remaining water, it will save more water than the round paper cup.

Since this conical paper cup is die-cut into a rectangle with an angle of 45 degrees, it saves more paper, which greatly saves the production cost of the water cup.
